Meet B-Sugar – a hot new R&B girl group hailing from Brooklyn, Harlem, and Chicago. With their catchy hooks and blends of R&B, Pop, & Hip-Hop, Brown Suga is sure to be the next sensation in music. B-Sugar (consisting of BeBe, 18, Lyshae, 19, and Egypt, 20) is all about individuality. Their unique style and sound let’s you know their goal is to be different and stand out not only amongst everyone else but amongst each other. “In most groups you find that everyone has the same overall look or style and, well, that’s just not us. “, says Lyshae of Chicago. There is Egypt, the sexy no-nonsense raspy voiced singer/rapper, Lyshae, the laid back, girly tomboy with a soulful yet fresh sound, and BeBe whose killer dance moves, pop-style voice, and sassy colorful style balances the extremes of Egypt’s super sexy chic and the relaxed casualness of Lyshae. Brown Suga was first formed in May of 2007 by BeBe and Lyshae. After going through a series of girls to fill the third slot, the temporary twosome finally found their perfect match, Egypt of Brooklyn, New York. “It just seemed like we would never get it right, like no one worked out. And then there was E!”, Lyshae laughs. “It’s like as soon as we met her, we all just clicked and had that immediate connection. We were like sisters or best friends instantly.”-BeBe of Harlem. With their third member in tow, the girls were ready to begin their journey towards stardom – together.
